Fastening with metal screws |
| |
|
Metal screws provide high-strength, detachable joints between plastic parts, which are capable of withstanding continuous stress safely, even at relatively high service temperatures. Thread-forming screws make a particularly cost-effective joint. For metric screws, it is advisable to mould-in or embed metal inserts. This brochure contains the characteristic values required to design screwed joints. Typical calculation examples and design notes are given.
